Sound Christian principles form the corner stone of the institution, while respecting all religions and inculcating strong secular principles amongst the students.

Boarding Facilities

Six dormitories provide students of both sexes with a "home away from home". Residents are provided with nutritional and wholesome meals from a well appointed kitchen. Boarders are required to correspond with their parents once a week and parents are encouraged to respond similarly. Parents may also telephone their wards between 5 and 6 pm on week days and 9 am to 9.00 pm on weekends. Telephone calls from persons other than parents requires the approval of the Principal. All boarders must have a local guardian whose details are to be registered with the dorm parents. Pocket money should not exceed Rs. 120/- per month and must be routed only through the school office. Any direct monitory transaction between students and parents,
or any other staff member, is strictly prohibited.

Parents may visit their wards between 4 and 6 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays and between 10 am and 5 pm on Sundays. Visiting at other times is permitted only in exceptional circumstances. Parents wishing to meet their wards must inform the Principal through letter in advance to ensure that the dorm parent is suitably advised. Visits from persons other than parents / guardians requires the written consent of the parent.

Residents whose parents live near Coonoor can take their wards home on the last weekend of the month.Visits to families authorised by parents are also permitted at this time. Residents must vacate the dorms with their belongings on the last working day prior to the Christmas, Summer and Mid-term vacations.

Resident students have supervised study hours each morning and evening on school days. Tuition outside school premises is discouraged to avoid misconduct and misbehaviour.
