Stanes school’s Annual and Prize Distribution was held on 19-06-10. This year it was conducted in two sessions. The morning session consisted of the Juniors and the afternoon was by the Seniors. The morning session began at 10.00 am with the opening prayer by Mrs.Sheela Wilson. And our school choir opened with a hymn followed by the welcome address by Mrs. Hellen Mary Jacob(section head of the high school).The whole gathering joined in singing the school song. Mrs. Sheela Wilson(section head of the juniors section), introduced the guest of honour, Mrs. Pamela Clark. The Annual report for 2009-10 was given by our Principal which was the 152nd Principals’s report.

The stanes orchestra from time to time, entertained with vocal and instrumental pieces of music. Std I and II presented a programme about the four seasons, which was a Geographical lesson for all. The classical dance of Bharatha natiyam by the students of XII glued the audience to their seats. The Chief guest then distributed the Proficency and Computer prizes for classess I to III. A poem recital by classess III, IV and V revealed the deep gratitude we have for our mothers. All where inspired by the playing of “Vande Matharam”, one of our most patriotic songs by the school orchestra. Classess III,IV and V presented a fairy tale from the “The Princess and the pea” which was well organized and colourfull. The Chief guest then addressed the gathering. Class Scripture and Declamation prizes (I to VIII) were then distributed by our honourable chief guest. Classess VI,VII and VIII recited a poem ”The Warrior” and a dance depicting the Spanish bull fighters set our feet a tapping. The programme ended with the closing prayer by Mrs.Retina Sequeira.

The programme was a memorable one with gaiety and appreciation.
